Ambience Hosts a Special Iftar Dinner for Children with Cancer
At Ambience Wedding Planner & Event Management, our work has always been about creating beautiful moments. This Ramadhan, we were deeply honoured to create a meaningful one — not for a wedding or a grand celebration, but for a group of incredibly brave children. We are delighted to extend an invitation to YASKA this Ramadhan. YASKA (Yayasan Kanser Kanak-Kanak) is a non-governmental organization in Brunei Darussalam dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families. It provides comprehensive care, including emotional support, and raises awareness about childhood cancer and related health issues across all four districts of Brunei.
In the spirit of compassion and togetherness, the Ambience team hosted a special Iftar dinner for children battling cancer. What began as a simple idea — to share a meal — became an evening filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt connection.
More Than Just an Event
As event planners, we are accustomed to designing grand settings and elegant décor. But this evening reminded us that the most meaningful events are not defined by size or scale — they are defined by intention.
The space was thoughtfully arranged to feel warm, comforting, and welcoming. Soft décor elements, gentle lighting, and carefully prepared meals created a cosy atmosphere where families could relax and enjoy the moment. However, the true highlight of the evening was not the décor — it was the children. Their smiles, resilience, and pure joy despite their challenges were incredibly inspiring. They reminded us of the strength found in hope, and the beauty of simply being present.
Creating Joy Beyond Décor
In addition to the Iftar meal, we prepared small gifts for each child — a token of appreciation and love. It was important to us that they left not only with full hearts, but also with something to remember the evening by. We also organised light-hearted activities and moments of interaction to ensure the children felt celebrated, valued, and seen. Because sometimes, what matters most is letting someone know: You are not alone.
A Reflection of Our Values
At Ambience, we believe our role extends beyond weddings and corporate events. As a homegrown company, we carry a responsibility to give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years. This Iftar was not about publicity — it was about purpose. It was about using our creativity, resources, and team spirit to bring comfort and joy where it matters most.
